One local jail is giving people in our area the chance to have a job.
The North Central Regional Jail sponsored its second annual job fair on Saturday at Workforce West Virginia in Harrison County.
Representatives from the jail said there was a pretty good turnout. One applicant said she just graduated college and thinks this job would give her great experience working with the public.
"I just graduated college and wanted a job where I could help the people," said Marcie Perdue.
Officials from the jail said nearly half of the people that apply at the fair are usually hired.
