Officials have released both the names of the victims, as well as the gunman after the fatal shooting that took place in a mall in Columbia, Maryland, Saturday morning.
The shooter was 19-year-old Darion Marcus Aguilar, who walked into a store on the second level of the mall and killed 21-year-old Brianna Benolo and 25-year-old Tyler Johnson, before taking his own life.
"We've not been able to verify any type of relationship at this point between him and either of the victims. We can't establish that there is one and we can't establish that there is not one," said Chief Bill McMahon with the Howard County Police.
The other 5 people who were taken to the hospital have all been released with minor injuries. Authorities said Aguilar was armed with a shotgun, a large amount of ammunition, and some sort of homemade bomb. But after a thorough investigation no other explosives have been found.
