Old man winter came knocking on our door again Friday night and left one of his favorite gifts behind: snow.

Winter doesn't always have to be a bad thing, right?

"Snow" doubt about, old man winter made his return to the area once again, leaving inches of snow behind, and of course, causing drivers to become a little upset about it.

While it seems like winter just won't end, there's still a small part of the population enjoying it!

Punxsutawney Phil predicted six more weeks of winter, and so far, he's on the right track. While some people are ready for those April showers and May flowers, there's still some of you who love it.

"It is beautiful to look at, but not when you have to drive in it," said Judy Hawkins, a Shinnston Resident.

"It's beautiful out, but I'm ready for Spring," said Helen Roberts, a Clarksburg resident.

Most of the area saw between two to four inches of snow. While that might seem like a good bit for our area, 5 News ran into some snowbirds all the way from Canada who said this is nothing.

I have a sister that lives an hour north of us, and she's recorded 17 feet of snow. This is nothing. Americans just don't have their tires well-equipped, and snow plows," said Suzanne Algar, visiting from Canada.

While some of us snow lovers out there will be spending a lot of our time jumping into every snow pile possible, mostly everyone can agree: Bring on the warm weather..

"I'm headed to Florida on Thursday," said Roberts.

"We've been going to Saint Martin, and Florida. All I can say is go to Florida for at least three weeks," said Algar.

Everyone 5 News spoke with said while the roads were a mess this morning, they said the snow is a pretty sight to see. For all you warm weather lovers out there, you can start rejoicing a little, because a tease of spring is expected in the coming days.
