One man is facing charges after an apparent robbery of a local gas station Wednesday night.
Around 11:00 p.m., Morgantown Police were called to the Shell Gas Station on University Avenue. The clerk told police that a man walked in with a gun and ended up taking money from the register and safe, before fleeing on foot.
Officers later found Larry Dale Friend, Jr. on the rail trail near Fourth Street. They didn't find a gun on him, but say they did find $313.00 that was supposedly taken from the store.
Friend has been charged with second degree robbery.
