A Randolph County man is in jail after police say he broke an earlier pre-trial agreement not to have unsupervised contact with a minor.

22-year-old Shawn Shields has been charged with 14 counts of distribution to a minor of obscene matter.

In 2010,  police were given 45 letters written to a 15 year old girl allegedly written by shields. Of those letters, 13 contained sexual comments. They also say the victim's camera had pictures of Shields' genitals. The case was dismissed because of an agreement where Shields had agreed to not have unsupervised contact with a minor.

According to an investigation, he has violated those terms. He is now in jail on a $140,000 bond.
