A typical DUI stop ended with a man being charged with terroristic threats after he allegedly threatened to shoot state police in Lewis County Tuesday night.

Troopers said they received a call of a hit and run in a parking lot in Jane Lew. A short time later, a truck matching the description wrecked into a barbed wire fence and stuck in a pasture. The driver of that car, 48-year-old Michael Hager refused to participate in a field sobriety test. When the officer tried to arrest him, Hager tried to grab the trooper and said he was going to shoot him and all of the West Virginia State Police. He also tried kicking out the window in the cruiser.

Hager is still behind bars.
