An investigation is underway after an apparent armed robbery at a Star City bank on Tuesday.

According to Star City Police Chief, Vic Propst, emergency officials are on the scene of the robbery. It happened at the United Bank on University Avenue.

Officials were notified of the incident around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The suspect came in the back door with a gun and got away with an undetermined amount of cash, running across University Avenue and down Congress Street.

This is the same bank that was robbed by a man last month. Police aren't ruling out a possible connection between those robberies.

The suspect is described as a man between 5'8" and 6' tall, and weighing between 160-180 pounds. He was wearing a mask, blue jeans, a brown hoodie, and sneakers.

Nobody was injured, and nobody was inside the bank aside from the tellers.
