Clarksburg City Council talked over the city's animal control ordinance and what revisions are needed for it, Wednesday.

Council members say the current animal ordnance has very weak language in it, especially when it comes to proper animal shelter, protection from the elements and food for the animals.
Council says the revised animal ordnance will have better defined language and they're hoping they can soon achieve just that."
"We want to protect the animals and at the same time keep being friendly and protect our citizens from anything happening to them, " said Clarksburg Mayor Patsy Trecost.
The revised animal ordnance may possibly be up for a council vote by summer.
