Power Problems Impacting Lewis County Residents

Nobody likes when their lights go out during a storm, but when you're power goes out every day for no reason at all, like it does for many people in Lewis County, many people tend to get frustrated.

County officials say these power outages and surges aren't isolated to one town or area, but they've been happening county wide, and nobody seems to know why.

Commission President Agnes Queen says she has been noticing her own power going off, as often as three times a day. When this first happened, she thought maybe it was an electrical problem in her home. But then her neighbors started saying they were experiencing the same issues. Then, the county realized this could be a big problem.

It seems to be the entire community, the whole county are having daily power surges. We have been in contact with their government relations person for the power company, and they are trying to find out what the problem is. They are now aware of the issue, I don't know that they were in the beginning. But, we've made them aware and they are researching, trying to find out what the problem is to try to rectify it,” said Queen.

Queen says these outages and surges are affecting many businesses in Lewis County, such as local ice cream shoppes and restaurants, where the power goes out and ruins their food. She also says its even been reported to affect the local hospital.

The county expects to hear back from First Energy sometime next week about their investigation and plan to hold a meeting with residents in the community shortly after.

Well what did you think would happen with your electricity when the Obama administration is so intent on shutting down our coal mines which always produced the LEAST EXPENSIVE electricity to homes in the USA? Wait until you see Obama's promised "quadruple" utility rates hitting your bills soon. You won't be able to afford to have your lights on then!

"Consequences." Something Democrats never understand. Consequences of shutting down coal mines is power outages and scheduled outages/power failures. "Consequences" of democrats' forced Obamacare is increased premium rates, increased co-pays and less doctors who accept it! Hopefully these 'consequences' wake voters up to reality before November's election.

It's happening all over the USA. It's just another Obama socialistic agenda, 'designed' to force you to "use less energy!" Shutting down all the coal mines is just the beginning of more outages and blackouts. WHY do you think "smart meters" are being installed throughout the USA to replace your old meters? California citizens already have these "scheduled outages" as they were first to receive the smart meters. May as well prepare for them as people in the USA were ignorant enough to vote for socialism/communism in this nation of people who previously FLED such tyrants! This generation evidently 'loves' dependency and slavery!

It's not just Lewis Co. We have had the same problem for over a year or so on Buffalo Lake Road in Harrison Co. I image that others are having the same problem?? Please post if you do.
