"The golfers that come here are champions in their states. We have 159 of them here this year from 40 states," said Keith Carriker, the director of the tournament.
This particular course is renowned for its difficulty and impressive ranking.
"This course was designed by a world-renowned architect, Pete Dye. It's great to have these players on a golf course of this caliber. The course is demanding, but it's also fair," said Carriker.

"I'm super excited. The course looks awesome. It's in great shape. I'm looking forward to getting out there to play," said Coral Schulz, a 16-year-old golfer in the competition who's from Montana.
