Christmas 2012 will be one to remember for the Martin family from Preston County. A little after 11:00 on Christmas morning they welcomed a son into the world.
Stephen and Stephanie Martin told 5 News they weren't expecting a baby born on Christmas. They actually thought their son, Julian, would a New Year's Day baby.
Stephanie said she was planning on having a C-section on December, 30. That changed when she started going into labor a little before midnight on Christmas Eve.
About 12 hours later is when Julian was born. He weighs 6 pounds and 5 ounces.
Julian is the Martin's second child. They also have a 4-year-old.
They told 5 News their firstborn was excited to hear he was going to have a baby brother.
"He was super excited," Stephanie said. "He absolutely loves him. He talks on the phone to him. He also wanted to hold him Christmas night."
The Martin's said they're still not sure when they're going to hold birthday parties for Julian.
