Three local prevention resource officers were rewarded on Thursday for their anti-bullying project that's reaching kids across the state and even in different countries.

Clarksburg officers Michael Daugherty and Josh Skiviat, along with Bridgeport Officer Jamie Hamrick created We Take a Stand last school year. It officially kicked off in Harrison County schools this fall.
The goal of We Take a Stand is to end bullying and provide students, teachers and community members with ways to solve the problem.
On Thursday, the West Virginia Children's Justice Task Force gave the three the Extra Mile Award for trying to make a difference.

The three will start traveling across the state again after Thanksgiving to do more assemblies about We Take a Stand.
