A local manufacturing school was trying to show students more options for jobs Friday morning.
The Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing joined other companies for National Manufacturing Day. Their goal was to show students some other job opportunities that are out there after they graduate high school.
"Manufacturing is a critical part of West Virginia and West Virginia has approximately 1,400 manufacturers that employee 50,000 employees," said Greg Walker, Director of Emerging and Innovative Technologies at RCBI.

Students got to see how the machines work and they found out how they could use those skills to start their own business.
