It's been about four years since Ryan Diviney was brutally beaten outside of the Dairy Mart in Morgantown and put into a coma-like state. Now, students are rallying for Ryan's treatment.
The WVU Mountaineer Maniacs held their 2nd Annual Ryan's Rally 5K Run to raise money for his treatment. More than 200 runners came out this morning for the run and the Maniacs were able to raise over $3,000 to donate to the Diviney family.
"It just speaks so highly how our students and community members and local businesses can really get behind something and show that Mountaineers care all across. We're all from different areas and we all came together to run this race and it really showed me a lot and it really speaks highly of our students and our community," said Mountaineer Maniacs Executive Director Chris Northrup.
If you eat at Papa John's or Qdoba in Morgantown on Saturday, just tell them it's for Ryan and they'll donate 20% of the sales to Ryan Diviney's family. For more information on how you can help Ryan Diviney go to
