Now that holiday shopping season is in full swing, don't forget that it's also the giving season. Salvation Army  volunteers posted up outside of businesses all throughout Taylor County for the first time this year.
Black Friday usually starts the Christmas Campaign but because of a few bumps in the road they had to start a day later. If you hear a bell ringing and see a red bin, make sure you stop and donate. 86% of every dollar donated is given back to your local salvation army.
"The more money that we raise, the more people in the community we are able to help. Not only does it allow people to know of the Salvation Army if it hasn't been present in their community, it also gives people a chance to help those in need," said Lt. Benny Carringer, Grafton Salvation Army.

Salvation Army workers encourage you to not only donate, but to also look into adopting a child from the angel tree. For more information, click here.
