A second juvenile has been transferred to adult status in the death of 16-year-old Skylar Neese.
Star City Police Chief Vic Propst confirmed to 5 News that Sheila Eddy is now being considered an adult in the murder case out of Monongalia County. She is the second teenager believed to be connected to Skylar's murder.
The prosecutors office issued a press release stating that Eddy was transferred to adult jurisdiction, however it did not specify for what crime, but Chief Propst said it is for Skylar's case.
When asked about the second suspect Chief Propst said, "We got absolutely no cooperation from the other suspect whatsoever. During questioning it was just a series of lies and evasive answers. She seemed at the time to be in a state of disbelief and denial. I don't think she fully realized the gravity of the situation she was facing."
It was later confirmed that the second suspect he was referring to was Eddy.
Previously Rachel Shoaf pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the 2012 death of Neese. It's suspected that Shoaf and Eddy stabbed Neese to death and dumped her body in Greene County Pennsylvania last July.
