Seven people were arrested after a meth lab bust in Gilmer County Sunday night.
While the troopers were executing a search warrant at a home on Dusk Camp Road in the Sand Fork area, the homeowner, Rita Brown, 48, told officers that there was a meth lab on the back porch.
Other officers also found a bottle bubbling and expanding inside the home. That bottle was found underneath a table where Donald Brown, 52, and Daniel Hedgoeth, 32, were sitting. David Cottrill, 52, Shannon Salisbury, 33, and Rita Brown were all within about 10 feet of that bottle. Police made them get out so the lab could be deactivated.
Once troopers deactivated the lab, they then continued to search the home. That's when they found James Ware,29, and Joshua Casada, 28, hiding in a back bedroom with firearms in the room.
During the search, they also found more things used to make meth as well as marijuana, scales and money.
All seven people were arrested on charges of operating a clandestine lab.
Both Donald Brown and Hedgoeth were also charged with possession of marijuana.
In addition to the operating charge, Ware was also arrested on one charge of possession with intent to deliver.
