A previous council member and another resident of Shinnston were at a council meeting on Monday because they're not happy the city still pays a woman who lives in England.
Over four months ago, Emma Clark moved back out of the country. She's worked 38 hours over seas, helping the city manage grants. During her time with the city, she helped bring in over $1 million.
The previous council member said he wants someone local to get that job, and council said they'll be looking for someone else to help in the office but didn't say if she'll be replaced.
Council also said they want the police force back to full staff so they can have a PRO officer in Lincoln High School.
Monday, council also passed the first reading of their budget of $3,700,000. Union employees will see a 24 cent an hour pay raise and salary workers will see a 2% increase.
