Last week on 5 News, we told you small business owners have become more confident in their fight against bigger stores. With technology increasing everyday, small business owners can be on the same page as these corporate stores.

The more they know when it comes to technology,  the easier it will be for them to save time and money, and here's how.

If you're looking for a place to shop or somewhere to eat, what do you do? Well, you usually search the web for something on your phone. That's why it's crucial for owners to make their websites accessible on mobile devices. If not, most people in the community won't even know about your business because standard computers aren't as popular as mobile devices. It is really easy to do, all you have to do is talk to your internet service provider to change it. That's one of the main things you can do as an owner. 5 News spoke with is a small business owner to see what he had to say.

"Embrace technology to help them better connect with their customers, grow their business, earn more money, and do things faster. If you're running a business right now or even thinking of starting up a business you have to consider what mobile technology will do for you to help you make some money. It's an enormous thing," said Gene Marks, Columnist/ Author/ Small Business Owner.

All you have to do is call your ISP to make your website accessible on mobile devices? LOL. No, that's not even close to how it works. Nice reporting.
