State officials are seeking answers after two people were killed and three others were injured in the Doddridge County gas well explosion early in July.

The State Department of Environmental Protection ordered Antero Resources to explain the cause of the explosion by Wednesday. But that's not all, officials are asking for a plan on how they're going to safely continue working at the site near New Milton and how they're going to avoid accidents like this one.

Investigators are still looking into what caused the gas well to explode.
