If you are one of the millions who are having trouble getting a good night's sleep, then technology may be to blame.
According to a new study by the National Sleep Foundation, nearly 95% of Americans use an electronic device before going to bed. Experts are calling this 'junk sleep'.
It's when technology interferes with your sleep cycles, causing your sleep related hormones to be disrupted by the light and noise coming from the devices. The light coming from the screen can trick your body into thinking it's daytime, causing you to stay awake.
So what's the solution to getting some much needed rest?
Sleep experts say be sure to set your self an electronic curfew, put your devices in another room for the night, and consider using an old school clock as your alarm.
5 News talked to several of you who said this could be a hard habit to break.
"I definitely play Xbox almost right up until bed time and after work. It is a very hard habit to get rid of because everyone is on their phones anymore and everyone's a minute away from theirs," said Jacob Greynolds, Harrison County resident.
Experts agree that the more gadgets you own, the more likely you will receive a lower quality of sleep.
