Taylor County Couple Charged With Child Neglect

A Taylor County couple was arrested yesterday after apparently leaving their children home alone for several days while they did drugs.
33 year old Catherine McEldowney and 34 year old Aaron McEldowney are both charged with child neglect.

Officers arrived at the couple's home after a complaint was received from child protective services. The couple admitted to using opiates daily and a search of the home found materials used to make a meth lab.
The couple's 16 year old daughter told police she has been watching her younger siblings alone for days at a time for the past six months.
