A new event building opened in Clarksburg and the community is invited to check it out.
The Stealey Assembly of God hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to introduce their new Family Life Center. The 12,000 square foot addition includes classrooms, office space, and a gymnasium.
The center will host youth groups, basketball leagues, and local events. It could also serve as shelter to residents incase of a natural disaster.
Senior pastor, Mark Greaver, told 5 News he's excited to see the impact of the center on the community.
"If lives aren't being changed then we feel it's all in vain. If we can just reach out into the Clarksburg area and our goal is to see lives changed through the result of this building," he said.
The Family Life Center was built with the help of volunteers and took over a year and a half to complete.
