Thanksgiving is a time to spend with your family and friends, but for some it's a time to give back to those in need. The Union Mission in Fairmont is looking for volunteers to help them serve families a good meal.

The Mission will be serving meals to less fortunate families all over Marion County on Thanksgiving Day.

One way you can help is by signing up to help deliver meals to folks who can't make it out of the house for the holiday.

"We're planning to serve close to 800 people for Thanksgiving Day. Some of those meals will go out, and some of those meals will be served right here. We count it as a privilege to be able to do that. But it requires a lot of volunteers, drivers, and cooks, and everything, and we could use a lot of help." said George Batten, Executive Director of The Union Mission.

If you would like to volunteer your time, or sign up to drive, you can give The Mission a call at (304) 363-0300.
