A Braxton County man is behind bars after troopers say he allegedly stole two cars, beat another man in his sleep, and stole a gun.

The story on how he allegedly did all this may shock you.

Troopers said this all started when 27 year-old James Maciak allegedly broke into a man's home by breaking down the front door. That's when he apparently started beating the man while he was in bed, grabbed his pistol, and pointed it at him.

The victim was able to wrestle Maciak to get his gun back, but he was able to get away with his car, along with his cell phone, and about $50 in cash, but there's more.

According to a criminal complaint, Braxton County 911 received a phone call from a Flatwoods man, who said Maciak allegedly broke into another man's home, "claimed to be God," punched him in the face, and then stole his car.

When troopers caught up with him, they say he had blood on his hands. He then apparently told troopers he was God, and told them to give him their cruiser. That's when he allegedly started cursing, and was placed under arrest.

Maciak is facing several charges, which include armed robbery, nighttime burglary, and grand larceny.
