A woman and a young girl were killed Saturday morning after their truck was apparently hit by a water tanker truck in Ritchie County.

Cheryl Horner of Pennsboro was driving west on Route 50 near Ellenboro, when a man driving the tanker truck on Simington Drive apparently hit her truck, and then an oil truck.

Horner and her passenger were killed.

The driver of the tanker truck, Caitlin Hines, was taken to Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg. There's no word on Hines condition.

The man in the oil truck wasn't hurt.

The Ritchie County Sheriff's Department is still investigating the cause of the accident.
