UPDATE (11:30 a.m.):
5 News has learned that the two people who were arrested Wednesday night on first degree murder charges allegedly killed Darrell Golden, 58, by hitting him repeatedly with beer bottles. Golden's body was found off of Jones Run Road near Lumberport on March 20th, after his family had reported him missing on March 17.
Shane Miller, 21, and Tracy Miller, 19, are both facing first degree murder charges. Sheriff Albert Marano said Thursday that the Millers were married this past weekend. Both suspects are being held at the North Central Regional Jail. Jail records didn't indicate whether either suspect has an attorney.
Police say Golden's body was moved from the roadway to where they found it by the pond. Apparently, there were shoe prints that showed there was more than one person involved.
After further investigation, police believe Golden's disappearance was connected to a breaking and entering into the Blue Bird Store in Clarksburg that happened just days before he went missing.
Police say clothes that were found at the scene of the crime were shown in the surveillance video from that breaking and entering. Those clothes supposedly belonged to Shane Miller. But he didn't act alone.
There was evidence that also put Tracy Miller at the scene of the crime.
A man and woman have been arrested on first degree murder charges out of Harrison County.
Shane Miller, 21, was booked in the North Central Regional Jail around 7:00 p.m. He's charged with first degree murder.
Tracy Miller, 19, is also behind bars, facing the same charge.
Sheriff's deputies aren't releasing any information on the investigation or the Millers' arrests.
