WVU Coach Bob Huggins released the following brief statement on the arrest of Nathan Adrian.

"I am aware of the situation, and the matter will be handled internally."

According to West Virginia University Police, WVU men's basketball player Nathan Adrian was arrested on Sunday morning for driving under the influence.

Investigators are saying they initially pulled over the Mountaineer forward for having an expired inspection sticker on North High Street. When an officer approached the vehicle she apparently could smell alcohol from inside the car.

Police claim when Adrian was given a breathalyzer test he recorded a BAC level of .085.

Adrian just finished his freshman season and is currently 19-years-old. He was also a high school basketball standout at Morgantown High School.
