The past three days have been a massive headache in terms of severe weather. We went from severe storms on Wednesday to snow on Thursday. To top it off, we were hammered with another round of snow Friday morning. The recent shifts in weather caused dangerous driving conditions as many of you went off to work.

Tuesday the weather was sunny and close to 70 in our area. That turned into a distant dream for everyone Friday, especially for those battling the wind, snow squalls and bitter cold temperatures.

Snow removal companies got an early start to the day. Most where out in the pre-dawn hours clearing roads and parking lots. Crews where also battling layer of ice was underneath the snow. The ice formed because of the recent rain sudden drop in temperature.

Others where taking this day in stride. Some residents where out enjoying just another winter day in the mountain state. Some saw the snow as a business opportunity, and turned their snow day into a day of making money by shoveling.
