What are the consequences of a "party school" environment?  That's the focus of a new book by WVU associate professor of sociology, Karen Weiss.

Weiss led a discussion tonight at Black Bear in Morgantown about her book titled Party School: Campus, Crime and Community.  It's a case study that examines the behavior of students that spend too much time partying and not enough time studying.

Monday night's discussion centered on WVU's image as a party school.  Weiss estimates that 14% of the student population can be considered extreme partiers.
