A Ritchie County man died Thursday after apparently having a heart attack while he was hunting.

The West Virginia DNR said 73-year-old Joe Clayton of Smithville was hunting near Hazelgreen Road in Ritchie County when he died.
All signs indicate that Clayton had a heart attack but the DNR is still investigating.
This is the first hunting related death reported this gun buck season.
