Did you question if it was the first full day of Spring Thursday? Well with snow piling up in some locations and that bitter cold wind it sure made it feel like its was the first full day of winter.
"The ground hog got it wrong" said Erma Reel
"On the calendar, it may say it is the first day of Spring, but certainly mother nature doesn't see it that way. At least this morning it didn't" said Charles Shrine
Blame it on the ground hog or the calendar, but regardless, there weren't to many fans of this so called first full day of Spring.
"It's spring! It's terrible" said Maxine McCarty
There was a common opinion with this first full day of spring 2013, and that opinion was the indoors along with the winter boots were becoming old.
"I'm pretty upset about it, because I want flip flop weather to come in" said Mckenna Keller
"I'm ready to get out more and enjoy the daylight savings times and all that stuff. So I'm ready for the warm weather to go along with the time change" said Jeanne Unger
A week ago, we had that spring like warmth and the start of longer daylight. This caused some early spring flowers to bloom. Thursday there was no where for the flowers, or anyone to hide from the bitting wind and the snow showers.
"Really not that surprised, because you know it's still March" said Shawn Gains
"Auguring with my 2 grandsons to put clothes on. They thought all they had to wear was t-shirts to school this morning" said Lennie Marsh
One local construction crew had to question the weather, when they were still wearing the heavy coats, hats and gloves on March 21st.
"March turns nice, but I guess this year's winter is still going to hang on until the bitter end" said Carl Mazzo
Keep in mind for those of you wishing for the warm weather, be careful what you wish for.
"Because it's going to end soon (winter) and people are going to start complaining about the heat again, and they will be wishing they had the beauty of the snow"
