Thursday morning a Harrison County woman admitted to accidentally killing her grandson.

Tina Owens told the court she thought she heard something or someone outside, so she went on the porch and fired her gun three times. One of the bullets apparently went into the trailer below where William Owens was asleep in his bed. State law says you can't fire a gun within 500 feet of another house, but the trailer was allegedly about 600 feet away.

Owens will be back in court at the beginning of December.

This woman has to be suffering tremendously from this. I fail to see how prosecuting her is going to help anyone. It was an awful, horrendous accident. She did not intentionally shoot her grandson. I would not convict her of any wrong-doing because it was an accident and the trailer was further from her home than is required by law. So what law was broken? This is only about the left in this country attempting to 'use' political theatre for their anti-gun agenda. It's sickening!
