Woman Facing Charges After Supposedly Letting Baby Wander Streets

A one and a half year old baby was supposedly wandering the streets of Elkins in April, and that landed his mother behind bars for apparently leaving him alone at home.

24-year-old Katie Phillips and the baby's father allegedly got into a fight.
The father left the home, and Phillips called him back so she could leave. Instead, she apparently left before he got home, and that's when the baby got out.
He was supposedly found by a gas station cashier and returned home.

I'm so glad you posted because obviously since the child was 2-1/2, rather than 1-1/2, and went next door to grandma's house, rather than a gas station, makes it okay that these morons left him at home alone.
