5 NEWS UPDATE: Deputies in Mon County Release Names in Double Fatal Accident

UPDATE: 8/18 10am

Police have identified the two men who died after an accident early Sunday morning.
Deputies say 18-year-old  Jobe Haney, and his passenger 18-year-old Travis Penrose were pronounced dead at the scene.
They also had a 16-year-old passenger in the car with them who was taken to Ruby for treatment.
Steve and Rose Walker who were traveling in the truck were also taken to Ruby.
No word yet on their conditions.
The accident remains under investigation.
On Sunday around 1:20 in the morning, the Monongalia County Sheriff's Office responded to a two vehicle accident on Fairmont Road, about a mile south of Sugar Grove Road.
According to a press release, a car was traveling north and appeared to cross into the south lane and struck a truck that was going in the opposite direction. Two people involved in the accident were pronounced dead at the scene. Three more people were transported to Ruby for treatment.
The names of all people involved have not yet been released. The condition of those recovering at Ruby have not yet been released either.
