5 NEWS UPDATE: Fire Victim Dies From Injuries

5 NEWS UPDATE 7/1:
 
Investigators have confirmed to 5 News that a woman critically injured in a fire in Clarksburg on June 24th died Sunday night.
 
Officials said Jessica Williams, 33, was the victim. Three others were rescued from the roof of the home.
 
5 NEWS UPDATE 6/25:
 
Investigators have told 5 News that Jessica Williams, the woman taken to the West Penn Burn Center, remains in critical condition after a fire sparked at a home Monday morning.  We have also learned that Paul Whitehair, Pam Kennedy and Josh Eagle were rescued from the roof.  Another woman, Sonya Whitehair, was able to escape the flames through the front door of the house.
 
5 NEWS UPDATE 6/24:
 
Investigators have told 5 News that the fire that broke out Monday morning appears to be accidental. They believe that food left on the stove lead to this fire.
 
The woman who was taken by ambulance to United Hospital Center was in critical condition and has been transported to the West Penn Burn Center.  Stay with 5 News for any further updates.
 
ORIGINAL STORY 6/24:
 
One person had to be rushed to the hospital Monday morning after a fire destroyed a home in Clarksburg. 
 
Crews from Nutter Fort and Clarksburg were called out a little after 2 :00 to a home on Philippi Pike. Several people were still inside when they got there, but they did get everyone out.
 
One person was treated on scene, and then transported to the hospital. Crews on scene weren't sure which hospital, and they weren't able to comment on the patient's condition, either.
 
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Tune in to Daybreak Monday morning at 5:30 for the latest details and video from the scene.
