5 NEWS UPDATE: Fire in Taylor County That Shut Down Route 50 Re-Kindled

Update:

A fire at a home in the Thornton area Wednesday morning, re-kindled around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Both Thornton and Grafton Fire Departments responded to the home, which had smoke showing.

Original Story:

Route 50 is back open after a fire in Taylor County shut it down for hours Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out before 1:00 Wednesday morning in the Thornton area, near the Preston County line.

911 officials say some emergency crews that were responding to the scene were stuck there and had trouble getting out.

Two people were apparently taken to Grafton City Hospital.
