5 NEWS UPDATE: Man Still in Critical Condition After Accident

UPDATE (1/20/14):
On Monday, officials at Ruby Memorial Hospital said Harold Statler was listed in fair condition. He's been in the hospital ever since he crashed into the back of a tractor trailer on January 17.
UPDATE (1/18/14):
Officials at Ruby said Statler is in critical condition at the hospital. 
UPDATE: (6:00 PM, 1/17/14)
According to State Police, the driver of the SUV is named Harold Statler. There's still no official word on his condition from Ruby Memorial Hospital representatives, but crews on the scene of the crash didn't believe his life was in danger.
 Investigators claim a tractor trailer was turning and Statler wasn't able to maintain control of his SUV.

One man had to be cut out of his vehicle after an accident in Monongalia County Friday afternoon.  
The accident happened around noon outside Morgantown city limits on Blue Horizon Drive.  An SUV somehow crashed into the back of a tractor trailer.  
The driver of the SUV had to be cut out of his vehicle and was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital by EMS.  The full extent of his injuries are unknown at this time, but emergency officials on scene told 5 News that they believed the man suffered serious injuries.  The driver of the tractor trailer was not hurt.
Crews from Cassville Volunteer Fire Department, Mon County EMS, and Mount Morris Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the scene.  Stay with 5 News for any further updates.
