5 NEWS UPDATE: Shot Store Clerk Identified, Suspect Still on the Loose

5 News Update:
 
Deputies in Randolph County are still looking for the man who they think shot at a gas station clerk on Friday night.
 
It happened around 11:00 at the Rich Gas Station on Beverly Five-Lane in Elkins. Deputies said a man wearing dark clothing and a hooded sweatshirt went into the gas station and shot Shawn Townsend several times. He was sent to Davis Memorial Hospital, and then to Ruby, but has since been released.
 
Sheriff Mark Brady said the alleged shooter is around 5'6" or 5'9" and weighs around 135 to 150 pounds. If you have any information call the Randolph County Communication Center at (304) 636-2000.

A suspect is on the loose after robbing a gas station in Randolph County and shooting the clerk Friday night.
 
It happened around 11:00 p.m. at the Rich Gas Station on Beverly Five-Lane in Elkins. Police said a white man wearing dark clothing and a hooded sweatshirt went to the gas station and shot the clerk several times. The suspect then fled the scene.
 
The clerk was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital, but his condition is unknown.
 
Randolph County Sheriff Mark Brady told 5 News around noon on Saturday that the suspect had not yet been caught and the investigation is still on-going.
