Police said Miller was traveling south on Route 26, just outside of Kingwood, in a Ford 500 when she lost control on the snow-covered road. The car apparently slid into the opposite lane near Snyder Loop Road, where it was struck by a Ford F-250.

His passengers included his mother, Goldie McCrobie, 85; his sister, Shirley Pieart, 64; and Shirley's daughter, Martha Atkins, 37. They were all treated at Preston Memorial Hospital.
