Investigators believe they know what caused the accident Wednesday night that killed Everett Reeves, but they still want to talk to a few people before officially releasing any additional information.
One man was killed Wednesday evening after a freak accident in Monongalia County.
It happened around 4:00 p.m. at a home near the intersection of Shriver Run Road and Blue Goose Road in Fairview.
A dump truck was backing up in the yard when the man who was directing it from behind somehow fell under the tires and was run over. Everett Reeves, 69, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck, Shawn Kuhn, had to be taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital after having a mental breakdown. He was interviewed later Wednesday night.
The Mack dump truck, owned by Yost and Yost Pipe Co., was towed away so investigators can inspect it. The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
