Lines were out the doors Thursday night and shoppers were hounding stores at midnight. Some shoppers told us, the more you got into the morning hours, there were less crowds in the stores.
Michelle Snyder, from Thomas, said her and her family drove up to Harrison County around 3:30 Friday morning. When they got to Walmart around 5 a.m., it was dead and the mall wasn't too crowded either.
"I think whatever they did last night, having the early sales, slacked off this morning. It's been a good experience with congestion. It's been a bad experience with trying to find anything because everything's picked over," said Snyder.

This doesn't mean Meadowbrook Mall wasn't packed when we got there around 2 p.m. You still had to drive around the parking lot to find a place to park.
