United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced Wednesday in a news release that the body recovered in Wayne Township, Pennsylvania, on January 16, 2013, has been identified as that of Skylar Neese.
Skylar was reported missing by her parents in July of 2012, and was last seen seen on surveillance video outside her home, which is at the James Place Apartments in Star City.
At the time she went missing she was classified as a runaway because on the surveillance video police apparently saw her get into a car.
Since the time she went missing no one has seen or heard from her.
According to officials the testing of the body was conducted by the laboratory of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
5 News called the US Attorney's Office for more details on Neese's death, but officials said because this is an ongoing case they couldn't provide any further information.
Previously 5 News spoke with Dave Neese, Skylar's father, who said that his daughter was his life.
On Wednesday Dave Neese told WAJR since that announcement was made that his world has been crushed.
