This week is Fire Prevention Week and the Bridgeport Fire Department will be instructing residents how to help themselves in case of a fire.
Fire Chief Chuck Feathers told city council Monday night that his department will hold classes to teach residents how to properly use a fire extinguisher. Feathers says the classes will also show how to maintain and secure the extinguisher in your home. The chief says the 15 minute class could help keep you and your family safe.
The classes will start in a couple of weeks. For more information call 304-842-8252.
