It's the thing that everyone was talking about Friday.

The highly anticipated "Buckwild" made its' debut Thursday night.  That's despite efforts by US Senator Joe Manchin to have it pulled off the air.

Manchin, amongst others, were worried about how it would make folks in the Mountain State look.

One hour of reality television later and it seems like more of those fears have been wiped away.

"Buckwild" had been called the "Jersey Shore" of West Virginia. It follows a group of friends from the southern part of the state.

5 News got a ton of Facebook comments from viewers when we asked "do you plan on watching the show?".  A chunk of the comments were from viewers who were hesitant about the show because they were worried about how it would make them look.

That's because in a short preview of the show, released by MTV, you saw cast members driving big trucks though mud and turning a dump truck into a pool party.

The show wasn't much different. There were kids making out and having a good time.

The biggest complaint to 5 News after watch the show wasn't that it made our state look bad. Rather, it wasn't entertaining,

Mike Fairless, a Morgantown resident, said that you're going to see kids doing what they did in the show in every state, not just in West Virginia.

"The parts where they were fighting, the parts where they were drinking, that's embarrassing," Fairless said. "You get that everywhere. You're going to get drunk, screaming kids everywhere. If you put a kid on camera they're going to get drunk and they're going to get loud."
