It took a chase through Fairmont, and into a river, but police there were able two catch two guys who were apparently trying to cash in-on stolen property.
Police got a call Wednesday that 25-year-old Charles Hager was trying to turn in the material to Three Rivers Iron and Metals. When detectives got there Hager, and 32-year-old Derick Linear took off.
Investigators chased the  men through the woods all the way into the West Fork river. That's when Linear apparently jumped in.
Police were eventually able to catch them further up the river.
