Frank Scarcelli served the City of Clarksburg for more than 40 years before he suddenly passed away in June. On Friday, his coworkers honored him for everything he did.
The public works building in Clarksburg has had the same name since it was built but that all changed Friday afternoon. Scarcelli's wife and daughter had the opportunity to unveil the new title, which has Frank's name in black, bold letters.
City Manager Martin Howe said council members and Frank's coworkers had all asked how they could do something in Frank's honor. Everyone was pleased to see it come to fruition.
"Greatest honor in the world. My husband would be so proud. He's looking down on us today. He's so proud because he loved the City of Clarksburg and he loved his work with all his heart. He would be very proud and I'm very proud, yes, I love it," said Frank's wife, Karen.
About 75 people showed up for the dedication.
