A supervisor with the state Division of Highways has been charged with making a false statement to a federal agent.
Barry Thompson, 48, of Mount Clare, works as a supervisor at the Buckhannon office of the DOH. He's accused of making a false statement to an FBI agent last month. The agent was apparently questioning him as part of an ongoing federal investigation into the equipment division of the DOH.
Thompson faces up to five years in prison, and a fine of up to $250,000, if convicted.
