Debt Ceiling Again? Residents Tired of this Debate

With another debt ceiling battle looming in Washington, we talked to some folks in our area to find out how they feel about this issue coming back up again.

They said they're not only tired of the debt ceiling, but they're tired of the inability to come up with a real solution to the amount of borrowing the federal government is doing.

"It is time. It's been delayed for four years maybe? Maybe a little bit more then that, since I've been following it. It's time to address it," said Harrison County resident, Dionisio Rubi.

Others were worried about passing on the debt to future generations.

"You're spending money and don't worry about it at the moment. I worry about all the other costs that are inflated because of that--the cost of medicine [and] the cost of education. I mean, people that are beyond that, like myself, worry about our kids and our grandchildren," added Dr. Judith Miller of Harrison County.

The one common thing everyone we spoke to said was that they wanted a more permanent solution to this issue so that it doesn't come up every few months.

The solution is the same for Washington and this administration as it is to each individual citizen. Citizens KNOW you MUST STOP SPENDING and CUT unnecessary PET PORK PROJECTS and PAYING off our enemies in attempts to make them our 'friends' when it's apparent they do everything to destroy us. YOU cannot 'buy' friendship. But no way is this president going to stop giving away OUR money to HIS friends. He wants to spend more if you can believe THAT. Obama is the most clueless, most destructive president we've ever had. We can only pray, write our legislators and hope he does no more damage until he is gone from the WH. Democrats have destroyed themselves by 'showing' us how incompetent they are with our money, our constitution, our RIGHTS and TRUTH!
