A new report indicates people might want to think twice before they sit down on the couch and enjoy junk food because it could end up keeping them there.
Researchers claim unhealthy treats might not only make people weigh more, but it also increases laziness. The results were discovered when two groups of rats were given different diets.
After three months the group eating junk food was fatter and had much less motivation. Some experts are saying the results aren't surprising because when they see people start to eat healthier typically those individuals feel better.
Dr. Greg Bradley-Popovich is the Clarksburg Diet Doc Operator. He said, "Frequently when we have them eating more healthy foods in the appropriate amounts they find that they're consistently energetic and they don't have those lows."
The study also showed rats on the unhealthy diet had a lot more tumors in their bodies than the others.
